Working with more than one photograph at a time stops being guesswork. A
selection announces itself on its own line — how many, a way to put it down
without leaving select mode, and one press to make a collection of exactly
those photographs, where before that took four steps and a re-selection.

Deleting no longer throws the view away. The grid is sized to the whole
library so its scrollbar is a real address into twenty thousand images, and
removing some made that content shorter underneath a viewport that nothing
moved: the grid went blank, or leapt somewhere unrelated because the same
scroll position now addressed different photographs. It stays on what it was
    showing.

A date range is chosen by dragging its ends along the timeline that shows the
photographs, rather than by pressing a button that took its span from a zoom
level nobody had set — which is why it used to narrow to the whole library and
appear to do nothing. The axis refines as the range narrows, so a fortnight is
drawn as fourteen days instead of one column of a fifteen-year span.

The library header gave up its instrumentation to Settings, and grid captions
gave up the file extension, which in a RAW library distinguishes nothing. Both
were taking room from the part that says which photograph this is.

Kept honest by tooling rather than by memory: the traceability matrix is
regenerated by a pre-commit hook where the tags are changed, after failing the
gate on six commits in a row, and tools/set-version.sh writes one version
into the workspace, the pacman package and — at link time — the APK.

Known and not fixed here: the dr-ui test binary faults under parallel test
threads and passes serially, which is a fault in the tests rather than in what
    they test.
