dtourolle 44fdcbc6f7 Add the twelve-frame 6D panorama set as an LFS fixture
fixtures/pano/2025-08-05: _MG_8320 … 8331, one portrait hand-held sweep
at 50 mm with a stop of shutter drift and sky in every frame — the set
§3.11 is built against, with each of those facts named as the test it
is. fixtures/** is tracked in LFS like the models but with the opposite
default: CI's pulls exclude it, so a build never fetches 325 MB it does
not use.

# Fixtures — real camera files for tests
Photographs, in LFS, for the tests that need a camera's actual output rather
than a synthetic frame. Everything under this directory is a pointer in an
ordinary checkout; `git lfs pull --include="fixtures/**"` fetches the files,
and CI's pulls exclude the directory so a build never pays for them.
The photographs are the author's. They are here to test this project and for
nothing else.
## `pano/2025-08-05` — a twelve-frame panorama
`_MG_8320.CR2` … `_MG_8331.CR2`, Canon EOS 6D, EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM at
50 mm, f/22, ISO 400, 2025-08-05 12:57:44–58. One hand-held sweep across an
alpine valley in fourteen seconds, **portrait orientation**, aperture
priority — so the shutter drifts from 1/80 s to 1/160 s across the set, one
stop of exposure difference between the ends. Sky in every frame.
That is the set §3.11 is built against, and each of those facts is a test:
| Fact | Exercises |
|---|---|
| Portrait, `Orientation = 6` | The stitcher applies orientation before alignment (panorama.md §8) |
| A stop of drift in shutter speed | Gain compensation, and that camera-space values (FR-MRG-2) align across it |
| Sky over a third of each frame | Keypoints on texture-free overlap — the case a learned detector is for (FR-MRG-8) |
| Hand-held | Small parallax on the near slope; seam placement rather than a translation solve |
| Twelve frames, 5472 × 3648 | An output wider than any texture (FR-MRG-11), and NFR-MRG-1's timing |
Frame 8320 is the first source: the composite carries its body, matrices and
as-shot neutral (FR-MRG-3).
